Understanding Sinusitis (Peenasa)
Ayurveda views chronic Sinusitis as Peenasa, caused by an aggravation of Kapha dosha and Prana Vata. Weak digestive fire (Agni) leads to the formation of Ama (toxins), which mixes with Kapha to create thick mucus that blocks the sinus channels.
Key Symptoms
- Severe facial pressure and pain around eyes/forehead
- Chronic nasal congestion and thick discharge
- Loss of smell or taste
- Persistent cough, especially worse at night
Our Treatment Protocol
1. Nasyam (Nasal Instillation)
The primary therapy for sinus disorders. Medicated oils like Anu Taila or Shadbindu Taila are instilled into the nostrils to liquefy and expel deep-seated mucus from the sinus cavities.
2. Swedana (Herbal Steam Therapy)
Inhalation of steam infused with powerful decongestants like Eucalyptus, Camphor, and Tulsi to rapidly relieve facial pain and open respiratory channels.
3. Immune-Boosting Herbs
Internal administration of potent herbs like Sitopaladi Churna, Trikatu, and Haridra Khand to build respiratory immunity and prevent future allergic attacks.
